Lament (from Inuyasha)This video is part of my 2-video Christmas gift to all of you! (Yet for a Christmas eve upload, this was such a sad song haha). Nevertheless, we now add another piece to our Inuyasha collection!
Contrary to the piece's mood, I happily greet you all a very Merry Christmas! :] |
Soutanshi / InuYasha's Lullaby (from InuYasha)I'd rather not make a fuss out of this but the fact that this is my first video from the anime (and manga) InuYasha IS a big deal for me. This hauntingly beautiful theme suits InuYasha's childhood. I hear sadness, innocence, as well as gentle hope with a whole lot of love. I know this piano version does not make up for the beauty of the original version (where it's sung) but I hope I am able to at least lull you to sleep.

Yuzurenai Negai (First Opening Theme Song from Magic Knight Rayearth)
Alright! Yuzurenai Negai (English translation: Unyielding Wish) is the first opening theme song of the magnificent anime series Magic Knight Rayearth. I did the full version of the song since I don't like being left when I wanted more ;) I instantly fell in love with it even if I did not understand the words because I first heard it in Japanese. I searched for the lyrics and the meaning of the song was brilliant. I think that my piano version was one of the very few that's upbeat, just like the original recording. I hope y'all liked it!

Itooshi Hito No Tame Ni (Opening Theme Song from Fushigi Yuugi)
Even though this song sounds very dark and mysterious (which sort of matches some aspects of the anime series if you've watched it), I have most definitely enjoyed playing it. The melody is really catchy and and the bass (left-hand) was working it! I'm really glad I uploaded this!

Kaitou Kid (from Detective Conan/Case Closed)
If you have ever watched the anime or read the manga, I'm sure you will agree that Kaitou Kid-sama is a smooth criminal (song by Michael Jackson; RIP). I tried making a video without playing piano, just pure animation. This was my first try (first time with onetruemedia.com too). The effects were cool but it really does take time to make these kinds of things. I'm not sure its for me :P This could very well be my first and last.

Koi-gokoro (from CardCaptor Sakura)
If you haven't noticed, I am an avid fan of CardCaptor Sakura. This theme song comes up throughout the anime series, perhaps altered a bit. It is usually played in the background whenever Sakura is having a 'moment' and/or thinking about what's happening in her life. Anyways, the difficulty of the song surprised me: it may be short but it is not easy to play. Just a heads up ;)

Nukumori No Kioku/Memories of Warmth (from CardCaptor Sakura)
Yes, CardCaptor Sakura does not only have a good story but really good music too! This song was first heard in an episode where Touya (Sakura's brother) remembered his past. There was a flashback when Touya was a little boy and his mom taught him the song. Back in reality, Touya played it on a grand piano at school. Yukito heard it and applauded Touya. Version II is available here.

Yoru No Uta (from CardCaptor Sakura)
My very first YT video! Also called the "Song of Night" (English translation of the title), this song was first heard in an episode where the protagonists are pursuing rumors about an angelic ghostly voice which sounded weirdly like Tomoyo's. Turns out, a Clow Card copied Tomoyo's beautiful voice! They end up getting her to sing the Song of Night. Tomoyo and the Card sang this song in a duet (warning: you will die of eargasm if you've heard the original). Sakura captured the card and this song became a sensation for all CardCaptor Sakura fans all over the world.
