I am both happy and sad that today, the day that the InuYasha Soutanshi Piano Tutorial Series ends, has come. This project took years to complete. It has grown on me and I've learned many things about teaching piano while completing this series.
I've taught piano occasionally and all I can say is that, BOTH the student(s) and the teacher must work together in order to bring learning to each other. That is, perhaps, the biggest concept I have ever learned with my (limited) experience. I was used to thinking that, as a student, I'm the only one who needs to work hard and be patient with practicing and all that jazz. Since I started teaching, I know now that teachers must also work just as hard (to plan how to teach effectively) and have patience with their students as well.
I've gotten so many compliments and suggestions throughout the series--thank you! I will keep everything in mind next time.
Without further ado, the video below marks the end of an age and the beginning of a new era for me. I hope you all stay with me through my journey next time as well! Thanks!
